About Us Homefront Web Design is owned and operated by Lissa Snyder. She has been designing websites for eight years and graphics for six. She is completely self-taught, having learned HTML and graphics design through books, tutorials and trial-and-error. She is currently taking courses to get her degree in Internet Technology with an emphasis on Multimedia and Design. The Homefront name is from Lissa staying on the homefront while her soldier husband Alan spent a year in Iraq in 2005, represented by the key and candle in the top bar. They had met at a Civil War reenactment when they were teenagers, and Alan proposed to her on the battlefield at the same reenactment two years later, represented by the Civil War-era woman and soldier. Alan is still a full-time soldier with the Active Guard and Reserve, represented by the dog tag; and Lissa still clings to her roots in primitive and folkart design, represented by the aged luggage tag. The letters in the background represent all the letters and email the two sent back and forth to each other both while Alan was in the Army while they were dating and while he was in Iraq in 2005. Alan also builds custom computers and can be found at www.biacomputers.com.
